Hotel Roma E Rocca Cavour - טורינו

Complete disspointment.

Our room was spacious and clean, with lots of storage in traditional Italian furniture. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. The breakfast was better than average continental breakfast. The location was great for shopping, sight seeing, and railway access.

The staff could have been a little friendlier and I strongly recommend that you don't purchase the wine. I have tasted better vinegar ! There are plenty of bars and restaurants around the area that serve excellent wines and food.

The hotel is very close to the Porta Nuova station, and only three metro stops away from the international station at Porta Susa. It is easy to find and the building has a classic feel to it, with a glitzy foyer. If you don't like the hotel breakfast or if the start time of 7am is too late for you, there are good coffee shops across in the newly modernised Porta Nuova station open from 6am, particularly the impressive Boulangerie which has friendly service and exceptionally good pastries. At 41 euros for a budget-priced room (without breakfast) I doubt you would get a better deal in Turin or would want to try.

I just wish some of the staff were more friendly and didn't make you feel that they were the ones doing you the favour. On my departure day I came downstairs with my backpack already in place, so it was clear I was leaving. The entirety of our conversation was: Receptionist (before I could say I was leaving): 149 euros Me (producing the cash): Ecco ci qua Receptionist: Grazie Me: Grazie. Arrivederci Receptionist: (didn't utter another word) A short attendance course at smiling classes may also help

Very convenient location--less than a block from the train station and in a neighborhood that felt safe. Room was clean and comfortable and staff was professional. Breakfast was fine.

For some reason, my iPad wouldn't work with their wifi, which hasn't happened anywhere else and was very inconvenient. However, there were two (slow) computers in the lobby for guests to use free of charge, so that helped some. Apart from that, no other complaints!

The staff is friendly. The location is close to city center and shopping area. The breakfast is available on the open-air cozy balcony. Coffee is good.

The room needs repairing. Parking in the garage is overpriced. Parking nearby the hotel is paid. The hotel looks on the web-photos as located in the garden. In fact, it is very close to railway station.

The hotel is perfectly situationed for those arriving at the Porta Nuova train station, whose beautiful facade I had a splendid view of from the balcony of my room, along with an attractive leafy park across the street. Everyone on the multi-lingual staff was cordial and helpful. I was able to borrow for 12 hours a free one-speed Hotel Roma e Rocca Cavour bicycle, which greatly facilitated my transit around the city of Turin.

The hotel is located in near the Train Station, so on arrival and departure is very easy with all the luggage and stuff, by just crossing the road. Its also very near to the city's main attractions. The room was always clean with towels and bed sheets changed daily, which is always a good thing. The furniture is not very modern, but being a historical place it would be a little out of place to make modern furniture. Breakfast is very good, with a lot of choice, cereals, crossants, coffee and tea and many more, also the young lady in charge of the breakfast room was very sweet and attentive that all was going on well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to go to Torino, stay comfortably and not spending loads of money on lodging.

Near to the centre of Turin and staff at the breakfast room were very friendly, especially Maria.

Not all the staff at reception were friendly especially the first day I arrived at the hotel. The first few hours were horrible as there was a mistake about my booking. Thanks to Booked.net they solved the problem with the hotel.

Geographical location for access to the city (and its superb transport system ) was perfect

very professional, lovely quiet room, beautiful old hotel with high ceilings.

The breakfast was very good compared to other places we have stayed in Turin. There was a fridge and comfortable bed that wasn't two singles put together.

The bed was a little small.

I chose it for convenient location; Right across from the railway station and the Airport shuttle bus. Close to shopping

Old hotel and it shows. Poor breakfast. Bit noisy -to be expected in this location and having requested a balcony room. Staff a bit curt. Old computers in lobby, didn't function well.

Very central location, just opposit the Porta Nuova train station. Not very far away from the centre. Just rigt for my 1 day trip!

Rooms need an upgrade, very old. Although very clean.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit hesitant but was pleasantly surprised! Room #340 is huge, clean with 2 delightful balconies overlooking the green opposite. The bathroom, including bath, was also wonderful. Turin is not so big but Hotel Roma is close walking to via Rome shopping boulevard, the palace & main squares, great restaurants and of course the train station.

Staff were a little abrupt but I'm learning that is more Italy than Hotel Roma.
